God has finally listened to my prayers.... :)

As GoLisbon previously reported, Hollywood has a new home in Portugal, and this week it was announced that a new movie starring Brad Pitt, Al Pacino, and Penelope Cruz will be filmed around Portugal next year. Most of the scenes will be shot in Algarve, but will also move up the country to Lisbon, Porto, and Aveiro. It’s a remake of the classic “Le Mans” which starred Steve McQueen in 1971, and this time it will be directed by Wolfgang Peterson who directed 2004’s “Troy”. The scheduled dates for filming are the month of August, as the script is still being worked on at the moment. The total budget for this film is 52 million dollars and is expected to have a crew of 600. Another production planned for Portugal is a movie starring Richard Gere playing the role of Aristides Sousa Mendes, a Portuguese diplomat who allowed over 30,000 Jews to escape the Nazis during WWII. Other productions include a vampire thriller with Kevin Bacon, a science-fiction film starring Sigouney Weaver, a western with Val Kilmer as the star, and a Larry Cohen thriller starring Ethan Hawke.

Loving Feeling

I heard a guy yestearday - on some podcast special about oscars' time - saying that "you've lost that loving feeling" move in Top Gun(*), was one of those moves that will always grant guys to get to the ladies...

and you know what?! HELL YEAH!

There's nothing like a man seranating to you... no matter what all the half-crazed femmenists or cinnic-frustrated women may say against it!

Largem tudo agora, saiam já de casa, deixem tudo como está, porque se ainda não foram ver o último filme do Brad Pitt, é NECESSARIO que vão já a correr para o cinema mais próximo....!!!!!

O "Brad" está fantástico para além do possível em "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" ... o que se deve - em grande parte, suponho eu - ao director David Fincher, aquele que o dirigiu em Se7en e em Fight Club... ALIAS, provavelmente não fosse por ele, ainda o mundo continuaria a pensar que o Brad Pitt não era mais do que uma outra "cara bonita" qualquer.

E tudo é bom de se ver neste filme, a sempre maravilhosa Cate Blanchett, a direcção artística, o trabalho de cinematografia.... LINDO.

Óbvio, sou muito suspeita.... adoro o "Brad" e este tipo de história é o tipo de historia que eu gosto.. não me incomoda que faça lembrar de certa forma Forrest Gump... e muito menos me incomoda o "americanismo" ou patriotismo - segundo quem opinar - da linha narrativa... "me da IGUAL", eu acho um bom filme!

Vão ver e depois contam como foi!
