Logically...

First of, I'm not assuming here neither a pro or a con stance on this argument, I reserve my personal opinion. Nonetheless, what I do support fervently is the need of congruency and logical discerning. Second of all, I'm a huge fan of Jon Stewart, which is why I can not help myself and I had to post this:

RAYGUN: Affirmative.

STEWART: No, but he was born August 4, 1961, to be exact -- meaning his mother was three months pregnant when she got married in Hawaii. 
RAYGUN: So? 
STEWART: Obama was in the United States as a fetus. 
RAYGUN: Irrelevant! 
STEWART: Don't you see? Either Barack Obama's an American citizen or fetuses don't count as people. Are you saying that a fetus is not a human life? 
RAYGUN: No! Life begins at conception! 
STEWART: So Obama's an American citizen? 
RAYGUN: No! 
STEWART: I'm afraid logically, you've gotta choose one. 
RAYGUN: No! No! Illogical! Does not compute!!!

Seriously Silly.

In order to fully comprehend the silliness of this song, you have to know that it is a parody, and that all singers involved but Akon are actors from the cast of Saturday Night Live. 

So, the SNL guys do this stunt regularly on the show, but it takes amazing proportions when you put them on a stage, live and singing it as seriously as if they were singing their national anthem in a r&b-techno style.

What I adore the most about these videos, are the seriousness with which they sing about the most ludicrous topics... and furthermost they slap us in the face with the knowledge that nowadays you don't need that much to create a successful catchy song, even if the lyrics mean nothing at all, because the masses will eat up almost anything as long as it is easy on the ears. The formula is basic and is all over the mass media... take a sweet melody, add a singer who doesn't need to be that skillful and then mix it up with intervals of a rapper doing his thing, et voilá! There you have it, music for the masses! 

(Don't get me wrong, I have my own guilty pleasures, but things like the song "Friday" SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED.. and I curse the people who let this be possible. Seriously. I'm scared of the type of culture my children will have to deal with in the future.)

But, whatever, enjoy the video, its intent is to make you laugh and I think it is successful at it.

A ballpoint pen resting on a drawing surface covered with paper is mounted at the point where the pendulums come together. The pendulums are set in motion by hand, and their movements are represented on the paper. The movements of the pendulums affect the entire room, and the experience engages the beholder’s body. While the rhythmic repetitions cause the beholder to pause, the drawing emerges on the paper.”

I've been waiting for this book since last sumer and at last it came out. Done reading the 9th book of The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series, Lover Unleashed ~ The story of Payne ~ and It was so worth the sleepless night! Is no secret I love me some Vamps and these are Fangtastic! True? True. 

Even though all the books are not evenly in their level of quality, the world WARDen created as a whole is altogether very fascinating. The plot is well constructed and intricate, and there are so many specific details to it that the glossary of definitions in the beginning of each book make complete sense.

I'm confessing beforehand tough, I'm completely bias when it comes to regarding these books objectively, for verily I can not. Ha. At some point it might have looked bizarre to me that vampires listened to 2Pac and Scarface, particularly because RAP dosn't float my boat, yet the whole gansta swagger work for them and I do not care for questioning it anymore.

Not for the faint of heart nor for those underage..  I mean, this is not a blood fest in the sense that it is all about the carnage, but there's some freaky stuff going down in this stories: gut ripping, blood crying, scars, goth rituals, medieval recounts, murders, marred skin, beatings, bad mouthing, etc etc ETC and I'm sugar-coating it. And all of that interspersed with some very kinky, hum, lets call it love making at times. A lot of times. There's a lot of love to go around for everyone in these books, but just lets face it, these boys are no nancys... and I mean no disrespect, because there's even some slash lovin' too in there.

I guess, what I'm trying to say is, if you don't like vampires and a lil bit of gore, move along, these ain't for you... and lastly, I'm not even sure these books work beyond the realm of urban fantasy (read: female literature), because, yes there's a lot of butt kicking, weapon talk and spy-like scenarios but the essentials of the stories are primely female oriented. 

But I digress, about Unleashed, I loved it, because it took us back to the excellent plot creating of the beginning of the series and to the values and guidelines that made this characters special to begin with. Of course that the tiding up of some stories and the prep for the next ones didn't hurt either.

All in all, I'm a happy reader after been done with the book and I can hardly wait for the 10th book or the outtakes she usually publishes between novels.

It has been almost a year since I first came across images from this hotel, and I'm still in love with the creative and originality of it. I mean, in a place - Singapore - were sleek and post-modern is all designers can think about, in the middle of it all, you'll find this old school, fake vintage with a design twist, retro, and almost Kitsch wonderful hotel.

Personally, If I could, I would have Morgan Freeman narrating some of my favorite books to me or as a voice-off to my life, or even as the speaker to my eulogy... I'm sure if at the end, it was anything great to say about me, he even would make it appear as if it was with that wonderful voice of his. And then... he is this wise...

There's a lot of ONGs out there, right now, fighting battles while we so helplessly watch as the world collapses because of wars and natural disasters. Hope you can find it in you to help any ONG with a propose close to your heart. I choose this one, Save the Children, since I think the youngest are the most affected ones in any kind of calamity.

This is a serious organization that has already a convoy of workers and volunteers on the ground trying to control an unmitigated disaster that has left 100.000 displaced children. 

Help in any way you can.

On the matter of beliefs.

I feel compelled to address some things I feel very strongly about.
First. I hope, that no matter were you are in this world you are as safe as possible and strong enough to get trough whatever it may be darkening your days.  
Second. I’ve seen a lot of people getting offended or trashing on images urging to pray this last couple of days. Well… In my opinion -taking into consideration all the problems we, mankind, are confronting right now- disagreeing over how people express themselves spiritually, is just ridiculous. There’s no harm on wishing well and peace, no matter what form those thoughts may take. Fanatism it is what is wrong about beliefs, any kind of beliefs.   
Third. On the matter of posting pretty things while the world is full with dreadful news. Well, I choose to post things that inspire me to believe that better days will come. I see enough sadness daily. Nonetheless I do not criticize those who chose to focus on different topics. As they say, live and let live.
