The original x-men are one of my all-time favorite comics, so I was ecstatic to find this new interpretation on them by re:design (eurydyka kata + rafal szczawinski).. and of course, within this set my favorite icon is the one of the mysterious cajun.
Even though I'm thrilled that we finally have the summer upon us, I miss go running and training with PT... Those were the times! ... But oh well, maybe after the intervention and physiotherapy.... We'll see..
It's fascinating to me that I found this on a very alternative german blog about art. And now I'm amazed.
And I'm loving the documental, but intrigued by the always so unique way of how venezuelans see themselves, better yet, how "caraqueños" see themselves.
It truly is a very specific way of understanding the world around us. It makes me one part longing, one part "what thaaa...".
But, yeah, at the end of the day I get it, with all its faults one can still love the city.
So.... I really do not have time - these days - for been doing this (God knows Martinovsky is quite happy about that, even though I can't understand why!)... but I really can't help myself.... we are in the midst of a wonderful season for movie premiers.. and this one, Moonrise Kingdom, is by far the one I'm hankering for... big time. I'm thinking: an early 70's/kitsch dream + Big Fish (probably less magicish) + 500 days of summer + The Royal Tenenbaums... and I can hardly wait to see it!
(...and I'm not even going to talk about The Hobbit... Just wish I'll find a way to go to a movie theater at some point in the future.)
"There are places I'll remember All my life, though some have changed Some forever, not for better Some have gone and some remain All these places had their moments With lovers and friends, I still can recall Some are dead and some are living In my life, I've loved them all But of all these friends and lovers There is no one compares with you And these memories lose their meaning When I think of love as something new Though I know I'll never lose affection For people and things that went before I know I'll often stop and think about them In my life, I'll love you more Though I know I'll never lose affection For people and things that went before I know I'll often stop and think about them In my life, I'll love you more"
You know you were a true kid of the 90's when you find your teen school books full with images of 90210 ads, Christian Slater magazine covers, Jurassic Park movie schedules and John Grisham's novels all over them...
I know... Again it has been a long while... Life's still a hectic mess, so for now these little pieces I share are the best I can do! At least the sunsets are still beautiful as ever.. I think.
