Outlander (Outlander, #1)Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I can't make up my mind about this book... There were parts I truly enjoyed reading (the characterization of people, description of places, the historical references, the cultural details embedded into the narration) and then there were parts I struggled to read... so very much (entire bits of story that maybe, could have been dropped, because it wouldn't have affected the story in the end). I think, most of all, I was left with a sense of incongruence... were I can't not decide if the good parts of the book, the interesting parts are worth the tediousness of reading the whole 853 pages of it.
